Be Part of Classic Fighters 2027

Behind every Marlborough Lines Classic Fighters airshow is an incredible team of volunteers helping bring the event to life. From the flightline to the ground theatre, traffic management to ticket scanning, it takes hundreds of helping hands to create one of New Zealand’s most unique aviation events.

Classic Fighters is proudly volunteer-driven, with funds raised from the airshow supporting the ongoing development of the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.

There’s a role to suit almost everyone. Some volunteers get involved months in advance, helping build props and prepare displays, while others assist during the event itself with tasks such as welcoming visitors, selling programmes, erecting temporary fencing, or helping direct traffic.

Whether you can spare a few hours or several days, your contribution helps make the event possible — and offers the chance to be part of a passionate team behind an unforgettable Easter weekend experience.
